The foundations of our company are based on strong ethics, which encourage working with integrity, cooperation, and self-esteem in a safe official environment. Since the company has a multicultural workforce with different faiths and religious beliefs, it has been mentioned in the code of conduct that office romance is prohibited within the office premises, and disciplinary action shall be taken against those flouting the company’s rules and regulations. I would like to bring to your kind attention about the report of Sachs (2007), which described the Red Cross scandal.
The board of directors had sacked the president of the company for his extra-marital affair with an employee of the company. Being a married President, he should have sincerely followed the code of conduct rather than breaking it. Our company has been performing exceedingly well due to the commitment shown by each and every employee, respect towards the company’s ethics, working professionally, and refraining from office romance. The senior staff has been exemplary of their ethical governance, and they continue to serve as role models for the junior employees.
I would like to reiterate that our clients confide in the products and services of our company not only because of our commitment to provide good quality but also due to the ethics followed by our employees. Hence, I request my professional colleagues to refrain from office romance, which they have never indulged till now. Attachments: Sachs, A. (2007). Does office romance get a bad rap? Time.
